Information Technician/GIS Operator

The Evesham Municipal Utilities Authority, owner and operator of the Township’s public water supply distribution facilities, sanitary sewer collection and treatment facilities has an immediate opening for a Information Technician/GIS Operator. Under the general direction of the Asset and Auxiliary Systems Manager, the Information Technician/GIS Operator is responsible for/to:

Under supervision, monitor and operate the functions associated with the asset management and operations division software tools and communications device inventory and processes. With support from internal and external IT/ Asset Management/ GIS professionals, perform GIS work relating to the geographic analysis of environmental parameters and/ or other factors, image processing, interpretation, and application of remote sensing data; perform geographic data digitizing; operate all computer hardware and software associated with the Geographic Information System. Performs additional related duties.

The basic requirements for the position are as follows:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. This requirement may be waived at the discretion of the EMUA.

Experience:

Two (2) years of progressively responsible experience working in a professional capacity using Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite, and/ or a similar combination of professional and creative software.

Demonstrated experience in data analysis and report presentation.

Experience with public-facing communications tools and promotional campaigns.

Familiar with common computerized maintenance management and utility enterprise asset management software.

Familiar with ArcGIS online and related software/ hardware environments.

Licensure:

Required-Valid New Jersey passenger driver’s license. Ability to lawfully operate Authority vehicles and public and private roadways.

Licensed Electrician

Evesham Municipal Utilities Authority

Status: Full-Time

The Evesham Municipal Utilities Authority, owner and operator of the Township’s public water supply distribution facilities, sanitary sewer collection and treatment facilities has an immediate opening for a Licensed Electrician. Under the general direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Electrician is responsible for/to: the installation, inspection, repair, servicing and maintenance of the Authority’s electrical equipment, appliances, machinery, systems, pumps and circuits. The Electrician will be responsible to inspect current systems for proper operation, develop corrective action plans to solve problems as they occur and assist as directed in the planning and implementation of the Authority’s ongoing facility repair and replacement program. The successful candidate will be required to possess a high school diploma or equivalent and will have successfully completed an approved electrician apprenticeship or an electricians, electrical contractor or similar program from an accredited trade/technical school. A valid electrical contractor’s license issued by the State of New Jersey as well as a valid New Jersey passenger driver’s license is required. The Authority will provide all personal protective equipment and any necessary specialized equipment, however the successful candidate will be required to supply their own basic hand tools required to perform routine assignments. Qualified Purchasing Agent (QPA)

Status:  Full-time

The Evesham Municipal Utilities Authority, owner and operator of the public water supply and distribution facilities and sanitary sewer collection, treatment and disposal facilities in Evesham Township, seeks an experienced, highly qualified, self-motivated candidate, who possesses a New Jersey State Qualified Purchasing Agent Certificate issued by the State of New Jersey, for the position of Qualified Purchasing Agent (QPA).  The QPA, reporting to the Office Manager and Deputy Executive Director, is responsible for the purchasing activities of the Authority and will perform those duties with responsibility and accountability, including preparing and reviewing bid specifications and requests for proposals (RFP); evaluating bids; recommending contract award; soliciting quotations (RFQ); soliciting bids; organizing and monitoring all active contracts; preparation of awarding resolutions and contracts, etc., all in accordance with NJ State Local Public Contracts Law N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et seq. and related administrative duties as required.

Position Requirements:  Candidate must possess a New Jersey State Qualified Purchasing Agent Certificate issued by the State of New Jersey, Department of Community Affairs, Division of Local Government Services, which requires the completion of the Public Purchasing education curriculum and successfully passing the New Jersey State examination.  Candidate will be required to maintain and keep active the QPA license at all times.  Prior experience as a QPA is preferred.  Candidate must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
