Water and/or Wastewater Treatment Plant Laborer

The Evesham Municipal Utilities Authority, owner and operator of the Township’s public water supply distribution facilities and sanitary sewer collection and treatment facilities has an immediate opening for a Water and/or Wastewater Treatment Plant Laborer. Under the general direction of the Operations Manager, the Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant Laborer is responsible for performing tasks related to the efficient running of the Authority’s water and wastewater treatment facilities including, but not limited to, shovel and remove sludge, general painting, digging trenches or holes, work in and around excavations, work in confined spaces, use and maintain in proper working condition Authority equipment including power tools, operate Authority vehicles, flush hydrants and perform other general maintenance as directed. The successful candidate will be required to possess a high school diploma as well as a valid NJ Driver’s license with a CDL Class B preferred. All Candidates will be required to obtain a Class B CDL within 90 days of employment and, at a minimum, obtain a C1, W1, S1 or T1 DEP license within two years of appointment. Water/Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator

Evesham Municipal Utilities Authority

The Evesham Municipal Utilities Authority, operates three waste water treatment plants processing a combined 3.6 million gallons of waste water per day collected and transported by a collection system consisting of 17 miles of force main; 145 miles of gravity mains and 26 pumping stations. In addition, the Authority produces and distributes high quality drinking water through a system that includes 11 wells, 3 elevated storage towers and 220 miles of water mains. The Authority has an immediate opening for a licensed Water/Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator. Under the general direction of the Operations Manager, the Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator is responsible for performing tasks related to the distribution of potable water and/or the proper collection, treatment and disposal of wastewater for the residents of Evesham Township. The successful candidate will be required to possess prior experience in the operation and maintenance of a public water supply system and/or wastewater treatment plant and possess or obtain within 12 months of appointment, a valid Class 2 NJDEP Water/Wastewater Treatment System License (W2, S2, C2 or T2).
